“If you want to reach ravers, you need to speak to them in a language they understand.” This has been my artist slogan ever since I got selected as an extra in the movie Jesus Revolution and ended up carrying Shaun Weiss into the water to act out a baptism — the reason why is no accident: it’s a direct adaptation of Jonathan Roumie’s famous line from the film for the 21st century. Today, there is a class of people just as lost as the hippies were; the only difference is what music will reach them.
